蔫乾（上偃言反廣雅蔫黃也說文蔫菸也從草焉聲焉字從一從烏菸音於）。

Wilted and dried (蔫乾): The first character has the fanqie 偃 (y-) plus 言 (-an). The Guangya states that 蔫 means yellowing. The Shuowen jiezi states that 蔫 means withered (菸); it is formed with the grass radical (艹) and 焉 as the phonetic element (the character 焉 is formed from 一 and 烏; 菸 has the pronunciation 於).
