打撲（下普木反顧野王云撲猶打捶之也廣雅云擊也說文從手菐聲菐音卜）。

打撲 (The second syllable is *pū* [pu + mu fanqie]. Gu Yewang says: "撲 (*pū*) is like striking or beating." The Guangya says: "It means to strike." The Shuowen jiezi states that it is formed with 'hand' (手) and 菐 as the phonetic component. 菐 is pronounced *bú*).
