傀偉（上鱠迴反司馬彪注莊子云傀美也方言云傀盛也說文傀偉也從人鬼聲亦作[仁-二+裹][催-隹+((魅-ㄙ)-未+ㄙ)]律本從玉作瓌玉也下為鬼反說文云偉奇也從人韋聲也）。

傀偉 ('stalwart and imposing'): the first character is [pronounced] with the fanqie 鱠迴. Sima Biao's commentary on the Zhuangzi says: '傀 (guǐ) means handsome.' The Fangyan says: '傀 means abundant.' The Shuowen says: '傀偉 means imposing. It takes 人 (person) as semantic component and 鬼 as phonetic component.' It is also written as [仁-二+裹] or [催-隹+((魅-ㄙ)-未+ㄙ)]. Vinaya texts write it with 玉 (jade) as 瓌, meaning fine jade. The second character is [pronounced] with the fanqie 為鬼. The Shuowen says: '偉 (wěi) means extraordinary. It takes 人 (person) as semantic component and 韋 as phonetic component.'
