剏始 (to initiate or inaugurate; the first character is pronounced 瘡壯反. The Guoyu states: “Initiating the institutions of the world.” Jia Kui's commentary states: “It means to begin.” The Shuowen states: “To establish laws and initiate undertakings; it is derived from jing (井) with ren as phonetic component.” Vulgarly written as 創).
