承足椹（知林反小木砧也韻英云斫本質也或從石作碪亦從攴作[敲-高+(甚-儿+人)]律本從手作拈非也）。

承足椹 foot-supporting block: zhi + lin fan [zhēn]. A small wooden block. The Yunying says: “A chopping block made from a tree trunk.” It is sometimes written with ‘stone’ as 碪, and also with ‘strike’ (攴) as [敲-高+(甚-儿+人)]. In the vinaya text it is written with ‘hand’ as 拈, which is an error.
