度娠（下音身毛詩傳曰娠振也震動於內說文從人作㑗㑗神集訓云婦人懷孕也字書或作𡝌古字也）。

度娠 ordaining a pregnant woman: the second syllable has the sound shen [shēn]. The commentary on the Mao Shijing says: “Shen means stirring; quickening within.” In the Shuowen it is written with ‘person’ as 㑗. 㑗 is [pronounced like] shen. The Jixun says: “A woman being pregnant.” Character books sometimes write it as 𡝌, which is an ancient character.
