某摽（上矛厚反蒼頡篇某謂設事也桂菀珠叢云未有的名而虛設之曰某顧野王云几不知姓不言名者皆曰某說文從木從甘下必遙反顧野王云摽謂識處所也說文從木票聲票音同上從手作摽謂擊也非經義）。

某摽 (A certain marked point: The first character [某], pronounced *mou* + *hou* [mǒu]. The *Cang Jie pian* states: '某 designates a hypothetical matter.' The *Guiyuan zhucong* states: 'When there is no definite name and one hypothesizes it, it is called 某.' Gu Yewang states: 'Whenever someone does not know a surname and does not speak a name, they call them 某. The *Shuowen* has it composed of 木 and 甘.' The second character [摽], pronounced *bi* + *yao* [biāo]. Gu Yewang states: '摽 means marking a location.' The *Shuowen* has it composed of 木 with 票 as phonetic; 票 has the same pronunciation as above. Written with 手 as 摽, it means to strike, which is not the sūtra's meaning).
