拯拔 (The first character 拯 [zhěng] has no rhyming binome; take the rising tone of the character 蒸 [zhēng]. Du's commentary on the Zuo Zhuan says: 拯 means to rescue and assist. Guangya: To gather. Shuowen jiezi: To lift up. Derived from 手 with 丞 as phonetic. The second character is 辨 [biàn] + 八 [bā] fanqie. Kaosheng says: To extract; to rescue; to pull out. Wenzidian shuo: Derived from 手 with 犮 as phonetic. 犮 is pronounced 盤 [pán] + 末 [mò] fanqie).
