慧炬（上胡桂反方言慧明也鄭注論語有才智也說文從心從彗彗音囚歲反下渠呂反說文作苣苣束草爇火以昭燎也從草從巨）。

Torch of wisdom (慧炬: the upper character has the fanqie *hu* + *gui*; the *Fangyan* says: "慧 means bright"; Zheng Xuan's commentary on the *Analects* says: "Possessing talent and intellect"; the *Shuowen* says: "It takes 心 [heart] as radical and 彗 as phonetic"; 彗 has the fanqie *qiu* + *sui*; the lower character has the fanqie *qu* + *lü*; the *Shuowen* writes it as 苣: "A bundle of grass set on fire to illuminate"; it takes 艸 [grass] as radical and 巨 as phonetic).
