攜手（惠圭反顧野王云攜謂持也何休注公羊傳云猶提持也說文從手嶲聲嶲音同上從隹屮其[冗-几+(虺-虫+禾)]從冏冏音女滑反俗從隹從乃作携誤也屮音丑列反）。

攜手 (Holding hands: pronounced with the fanqie 惠圭 [huī]. Gu Yewang says: "攜 means to hold." He Xiu's commentary on the Gongyang zhuan states: "Equivalent to carrying and holding." The Shuowen jiezi states: "Derived from 手 [hand] with 嶲 phonetic." 嶲 is pronounced identically to above, composed of 隹 and 屮; its lower component is from 冏, which is pronounced with the fanqie 女滑 [nuò]. The popular form written with 隹 and 乃 as 携 is an error. 屮 is pronounced with the fanqie 丑列 [chè].)
