猜疑（上綵來反杜注左傳云猜亦疑也方言云悵也廣雅云懼也說文云賊也從犬𤯝聲案搆者心懷猶豫疑惻未定也）。

Suspect and doubt (猜疑: the first is pronounced [綵 + 來] *cāi*. Du's commentary on the Zuozhuan says: '猜 also means to suspect.' The Fangyan says: 'Disappointed.' The Guangya says: 'Fear.' The Shuowen says: 'Cruel. It takes the radical quǎn and the phonetic xǐng.' Considering 猜, it refers to harboring hesitation in one's mind, being suspicious and uncertain).
