薪積（上信津反考聲云薪析木也鄭注禮記云薪柴也又注周禮云木曰薪也文字典說亦云柴也從草新聲下資賜反周禮云遺人掌那之委積鄭注云少曰委多日積也說文聚也從禾賽聲論從草作𧂐非也）。

Accumulated firewood (薪積; the upper character [薪] is fanqie 信津. The Kaosheng says: '薪 is chopped wood.' Zheng's commentary on the Liji says: '薪 is firewood.' Moreover, his commentary on the Zhouli says: 'Lumber is called 薪.' The Wenzidian shuo also says: 'Firewood.' It is composed with 'grass' (艸) as semantic and 新 as phonetic. The lower character [積] is fanqie 資賜. The Zhouli says: 'The overseer of provisions manages the stockpiles and accumulations (委積) of the regions.' Zheng's commentary says: 'A smaller amount is called 委; a larger amount is called 積.' The Shuowen says: 'To gather.' It is composed with 'grain' (禾) as semantic and 責 as phonetic. For the treatise to write it with 'grass' as 𧂐 is incorrect).
