溪澗（下姦晏反詩傳云山夾水曰澗也說文義與詩傳同從水間聲）。

Mountain torrents (溪澗; the lower character [澗] is fanqie 姦晏. The commentary on the Shijing says: 'Water flanked by mountains is called a 澗.' The Shuowen's definition is identical to that of the commentary on the Shijing. It is composed with 'water' (水) as semantic and 間 as phonetic).
