渴伽月（藏經作佉伽皆訛也正言朅伽朅音去謁反此譯云犀牛毗沙拏此云角謂犀牛一角亦獨也喻獨覺也言一一獨居山林也）。

渴伽月 (In the canon it is written as 佉伽, both being corruptions. The correct form is 朅伽 [khaḍga]; 朅 has the fanqie pronunciation 去 + 謁 [qiè]. This is translated as 'rhinoceros'. Viṣāṇa means 'horn'. It refers to the rhinoceros having a single horn, thus symbolizing solitude, which metaphors the Pratyekabuddha; it means dwelling alone in the mountain forests one by one).
