刀鞘（小尒疋作鞘諸書作削同思誚反方言劒削關東謂之削關西謂之鞞音餅說文刀鞞也江南音嘯關中音笑）。

刀鞘 (In the Xiaor ya written as 鞘, and in various texts written as 削, both having the fanqie pronunciation 思 + 誚 [qiào]. The Fangyan says: 'A sword sheath is called 削 east of the Pass, and called 鞞 west of the Pass'; 鞞 has the pronunciation 餅. The Shuowen says: 'A scabbard for a knife.' South of the Yangzi it is pronounced xiào; in Guanzhong it is pronounced xiào).
