瞿翅羅鳥（經中或作拘枳羅鳥或作俱翅羅鳥同一種此譯云鵶鳥也又云好聲鳥也此鳥形醜聲好從聲為名也共命鳥也）。

Kokila bird (瞿翅羅鳥: in the sūtras sometimes written as 拘枳羅 bird or 俱翅羅 bird, being one and the same kind; here translated as "crow-bird", and also called "sweet-voiced bird"; this bird is ugly in shape but sweet in voice, being named after its sound; it is [also known as] the bird of sharing lives [jīvañjīvaka]).
