窳惰（臾乳反尒疋窳勞也郭璞曰勞苦者多惰窳也言嬾人不能自起如瓜瓠在地不能自立故字從瓜又嬾人恒在室中故字從穴）。

Indolent and lazy (窳惰: [窳 is] *yu* and *ru* *fanqie* [= *yu*]; the *Erya* says: "*Yu* means toiled." Guo Pu says: "Those who toil hard are mostly lazy and slack." It means that a lazy person cannot rise on their own, like melons and gourds on the ground that cannot stand up independently; hence the character is composed with *gua* (瓜, melon). Also, a lazy person always stays inside the room; hence the character is composed with *xue* (穴, cave)).
