曲蟺（音善古今注云丘蚓也一名[(昝-人+卜)-日+虫]蟺江東名寒蚓善長吟於地中江東謂為歌女或謂之鳴砌論文作蟬非體也）。

Earthworm (曲蟺: pronounced *shan*; the *Gujin zhu* says: "The earthworm (*qiuyin*), another name is *qushan*; east of the Yangtze River it is called *hanyin* (cold worm); it is skilled at singing long in the earth, and east of the Yangtze they call it the 'singing girl', or call it 'singing by the steps';" in the treatise text it is written as 蟬 (cicada), which is not the proper character).
