窓向（又作囪𤗉悔三形同楚江反正曰窓也旁窓曰牖以助明也下許亮反二蒼向北出牖也向亦窓也論文作扄古螢反扄紉也外閉者也扄非今義）。

Windows and north-facing openings (窓向: [窓 is] also written in the three forms 囪, 𤗉, and 悔, the same, *chu* and *jiang* *fanqie* [= *chuang*]; a straight opening is called a *chuang* (window); a side window is called a *you*, to assist illumination; the second character [向 is] *xu* and *liang* *fanqie* [= *xiang*]; the two *Cang* say: "*Xiang* is a window facing north; *xiang* is also a window;" in the treatise text it is written as 扄, *gu* and *ying* *fanqie* [= *jiong*]; *jiong* is a door bar, that which closes from the outside; 扄 does not have the present meaning).
