所甞（下音常案字書甞正體字也論文作甞非也顧野王云甞試也說文云口味之也從甘尚聲也）。

What is tasted (所甞: the second character has the sound 常. According to character dictionaries, 甞 is the standard form. In the treatise text it is written as 甞, which is incorrect. Gu Yewang says: “甞 means to test or try.” The Shuowen says: “It means to taste flavor; classified under the radical 'sweet' (甘) with 尚 phonetic”).
