擺揬（上八買反廣雅云埤開也考聲擺揮手也說文兩手擊也從手罷聲或作押論作擺誤也下徒訥反廣雅云揬衛也字書揬揩也說文從手突聲突從穴從犬論從山作突非也）。

Pushing and shoving (擺揬: the upper character [擺] is pronounced ba-mai fan; the Guangya says: "埤 means to open." The Kaosheng says: "擺 means waving the hand." The Shuowen says: "Striking with both hands; it takes 手 as semantic and 罷 as phonetic." It is also written as 押; writing it in the treatise as 擺 is mistaken. The lower character [揬] is pronounced tu-ne fan; the Guangya says: "揬 means to protect." Character dictionaries say: "揬 means to rub." The Shuowen says: "Takes 手 as semantic and 突 as phonetic." 突 takes 穴 and 犬; in the treatise writing it with 山 as 突 is incorrect).
