稊稗（上弟𪏭反考聲稊草名也文字典說云從禾弟聲或作蕛亦作苐[薯-者+(第-(竺-二)+八)]下陴賣反杜注左傳云稗之似穀者也文字典說從禾卑聲）。

Tares and barnyard grass (稊稗: the first character *fanqie* 弟 + 𪏭. The *Kaosheng* says: “稊 is the name of a weed.” *Wenzi dianshuo* says: “Composed of 禾 [‘grain’] with 弟 as phonetic.” Also written as 蕛 or 苐. The second character is *fanqie* 陴 + 賣. Du Yu’s commentary to the *Zuo zhuan* says: “稗 is that which resembles grain.” *Wenzi dianshuo* says: “Composed of 禾 [‘grain’] with 卑 as phonetic”).
