短命（端夘反字書短促也不長也說文有所長短以矢為正故從矢豆聲論從手作𢭃非也）。

Short-lived (短命: *fanqie* 端 + 夘. Character dictionaries say: “短 means brief, not long.” *Shuowen jiezi* says: “Regarding lengths, the arrow serves as standard; hence it is composed of 矢 [‘arrow’] with 豆 as phonetic.” In the treatise it is written with the hand radical as 𢭃, which is incorrect).
