交涉（常業反蒼頡篇云水中行為涉歷也說文徒行厲水曰涉從步沝之蘂反聲也古作[水*(止/少)*水]也）。

交涉 ("to wade through; to involve"): The character has the fanqie reading [dʑ- + -jɛp = shè] (常業反). The Cangjiepian says: "Walking through water is 涉 (to cross)." The Shuowen says: "To walk on foot across water is called 涉. It is formed with the radical 步 ('step') and 沝 (fanqie 之蘂反) as phonetic. In ancient script it was written [水*(止/少)*水]."
