一尋（古文𡬰或作　同似林反謂人兩臂為尋淮南子云人脩八尺尋自倍故八尺曰尋也）。

One fathom (一尋: ancient script 𡬰, or written as […], both identical; fanqie 似林 [sì + lín = xín/xún]; refers to the span of a person's two arms as a fathom [xún]; the Huainanzi says: 'A person's height is eight chi; their fathom matches their own height, hence eight chi is called a fathom').
