拘屢（或作句盧舍或云拘樓賖此云五百弓應言俱嚧舍嚧音犖俱反謂大牛鳴音聲聞五里八俱嚧舍為一踰繕那即四十里古者聖王一日所行也）。

拘屢 [krośa] (Sometimes written 句盧舍 [jùlúshè] or 拘樓賖 [jūlóushē], translated here as 'five hundred bows.' It should properly be *krośa*. 嚧 is pronounced with the fanqie 犖俱 [luò + jū, *lú*]. It means the distance over which the bellow of a great bull can be heard, which is five li. Eight krośas make one yojana, which is forty li, the distance traveled in a day by a sage king in antiquity).
