Relying upon as a cushion (然藉; pronounced with the fanqie 情夜 [jiè]. Ying Shao states: 'The 藉 (jiè) of straw mats.' The Shuowen jiezi states: '藉 means to offer in sacrifice. It takes "grass" [艸] as radical and 稓 as phonetic; 稓 is pronounced 寂 [jì]').
