躊躇（上宙留反下紓廬反考聲云躊躇不行也又云徘徊也韓詩外傳云搔首躊躇是也古今正字躊躇言猶豫也並從足壽著皆聲）。

Hesitating (躊躇; the first character is pronounced with the fanqie 宙留 [chóu], the second with 紓廬 [chú]. The Kaosheng states: '躊躇 (chóuchú) means not advancing; it also means pacing back and forth.' The Han shi waizhuan states: 'Scratching one's head and hesitating,' which is this. The Gujin zhengzi states: '躊躇 means being irresolute.' Both take 'foot' [足] as radical, with 壽 and 著 respectively as phonetics).
