歎吒（下陟稼反考聲曰吒彈舌作聲也漢書叱也字書恨怒也說文噴也從口從乇陟革反傳文從宅作咤非之也）。

歎吒 (sighing and clicking the tongue: the second character is pronounced 陟 + 稼 fanqie; the Kaosheng says, "吒 means making a sound by clicking the tongue"; the Hanshu says, "To scold"; character dictionaries say, "Resentment and anger"; the Shuowen jiezi says, "To puff out; derived from 口 and 乇"; 陟 + 革 fanqie; transmitted texts writing it with 宅 as 咤 are incorrect).
