嗜甛（上時利反孔注尚書云甘嗜無厭足鄭注禮記嗜貪也說文慾也從口耆聲下牒兼反廣雅甛甘也說文美也從甘從舌會意字也亦作𩚵並通用也）。

嗜甛 ("craving sweet things": the first character is fanqie 時利 [shì]. Kong's commentary on the Shangshu says: 'Craving sweets insatiably.' Zheng's commentary on the Liji says: '嗜 means greedy.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'Desire; derived from 口 with 耆 as phonetic.' The second character is fanqie 牒兼 [tián]. The Guangya says: '甛 means sweet.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'Pleasant to the taste; derived from 甘 and 舌, an associative compound.' It is also written as 𩚵, both being commonly used).
