殯埋（賓刃反杜注左傳殯窆棺也公羊傳已大斂而從棺曰殯賓也從歹賓聲經從手作擯是擯弃之字非經義歹音殘也）。

殯埋 (The *fanqie* is [p]- + [jin] (賓刃反). Du [Yu]'s commentary on the *Zuo zhuan* says: '殯 means to entomb the coffin.' The *Gongyang zhuan* says: 'Once the major encoffining is done, accompanying the coffin is called 殯; 殯 is to treat as a guest (賓).' It is categorized under the radical 歹 (remains/decay) with 賓 phonetic. In the sūtra text it is written with the radical 手 as 擯, which is the character for discarding or rejecting (擯弃) and not the intended meaning of the sūtra. The pronunciation of 歹 is 殘 [*cán*]).
