迭代（上田結反杜注左傳云迭更也方言迭亦代也說文一曰达也從辵失聲达音他計反）。

迭代 [alternation] (The first character has the fanqie 田結 [dié]. Du Yu's commentary on the Zuo zhuan says: '迭 means to alternate.' The Fangyan says: '迭 also means to substitute.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'One source says it means 达 [reach]; derived from 辵 with 失 as phonetic.' 达 has the fanqie 他計 [tì]).
