Blowing and churning (吹激: the second character has the fanqie 經亦 [jīng + yì -> jī]; Sima Biao's commentary on the *Zhuangzi* says: "A swift flow is called *ji* (激)." Wang's commentary on the *Chuci* says: "To provoke/surge." The *Gujin zhengzi* says: "Water obstructed, flowing crooked and surging swiftly; it takes the 'water' radical with *jiao* (敫) phonetic, having the same sound as above").
