Candle ingot (鋌燭: the first character has the fanqie 庭鼎 [tíng + dǐng -> tǐng], in the rising tone; the *Fangyan* says: "*Ting* (鋌) means to give." The character dictionaries say: "To advance." Examining this: a *tingzhu* (鋌燭) belongs to the category of wax candles. The *Gujin zhengzi* has it with the 'metal' radical and *ting* (廷) phonetic).
