絡腋（上郎各反郭注山海經云絡繞也王逸注楚詞云縛也郭注爾雅縛也說文從糸各聲糸音覓經文從玉作珞錯用也下征亦反埤蒼云腋胳也在肘後也文字典說從肉夜聲珞音剛咢反又音格）。

Cross-band (絡腋: the first character has the fanqie 郎各 [láng + gè -> luò]; Guo's commentary on the *Shanhaijing* says: "*Luo* (絡) means to wind around." Wang Yi's commentary on the *Chuci* says: "To bind." Guo's commentary on the *Erya* says: "To bind." The *Shuowen [jiezi]* states: "It takes the 'silk' radical with *ge* (各) phonetic; silk (糸) is pronounced *mi* (覓)." The sūtra text writes it with the 'jade' radical as 珞, which is an erroneous substitution. The second character has the fanqie 征亦 [zhēng + yì -> yì]; the *Picang* says: "*Ye* (腋) is the armpit; it is behind the elbow." The *Wenzi dianshuo* has it with the 'meat' radical and *ye* (夜) phonetic. 珞 has the fanqie 剛咢 [gāng + è -> gè], and also the sound 格 [gé]).
