捻挃（上念牒反廣雅捻塞也顧野王云捻乃穽也漢書音義云陳平手捻漢王是也或作躡聲類作敜古今正字從手念聲也下珍栗反許叔重注淮南子云挃搏也廣雅云㓨也考聲作挃也古今正字從手至聲也）。

Pinching and stabbing (捻挃: the first character has the fanqie 念牒 [niàn + dié -> niè]; the *Guangya* says: "*Nie* (捻) means to obstruct." Gu Yewang says: "*Nie* means to step into a pitfall." The *Hanshu yinyi* says: "Chen Ping pinched the King of Han with his hand—this is it." Sometimes written as 躡; the *Shenglei* writes it as 敜. The *Gujin zhengzi* has it with the 'hand' radical and *nian* (念) phonetic. The second character has the fanqie 珍栗 [zhēn + lì -> zhì]; Xu Shuzhong's commentary on the *Huainanzi* says: "*Zhi* (挃) means to strike." The *Guangya* says: "To stab." The *Kaosheng* writes it as 挃. The *Gujin zhengzi* has it with the 'hand' radical and *zhi* (至) phonetic).
