默然 (upper character: *meng* + *bei* fanqie; the pronunciation of 懵 is *mo* + *beng* fanqie; the *Zishu* says: '默 means quiet, not speaking.' The *Gujin zhengzi* says: 'A dog not barking while briefly pursuing someone; derived from 犬 with 黑 as phonetic.' In the sūtra text it is written as 嘿, which is a vulgar character).
