邈然（上尨剝反毛詩傳云邈邈大皃也王逸注楚辭遠也郭璞云廣也又邈邈曠遠之皃也廣雅盛也古今正字從辵貌聲貌音皃經文作邈非）。

邈然 (upper character: *mang* + *bo* fanqie; the *Mao shi zhuan* says: '邈邈 describes a vast appearance.' Wang Yi's commentary to the *Chuci* says: 'Far, distant.' Guo Pu says: 'Wide; also, 邈邈 describes a vast and distant appearance.' The *Guangya* says: 'Flourishing.' The *Gujin zhengzi* says: 'Derived from 辵 with 貌 as phonetic.' The pronunciation of 貌 is *mao*. In the sūtra text it is written as 邈, which is incorrect).
