欄楯（下脣準反漢書音義云楯亦欄也說文欄檻也從木從盾盾音同上檻銜黯反）。

Lánshǔn (欄楯, balustrade and railings; the lower [character] has the fanqie [chún + zhǔn]; the Hanshu yinyi states: "Shǔn (楯) also means railings (lán)." The Shuowen states: "A balustrade or railing"; it takes '木' (wood) and '盾'; '盾' has the same sound as above. Lán (欄) is pronounced with the fanqie [xián + àn]).
