莖榦（上幸耕反說文枝主也博雅草本曰莖下岡嬾反說文樹枝也從木倝[岡-山+(人*人)]岸反聲也）。

Stems and trunks [莖榦] (The first character has the fanqie xing + geng [幸耕反]. The Shuowen jiezi says: "The master of the branches." The Boya says: "The trunk of a plant is called jing [莖]." The second character has the fanqie gang + lan [岡嬾反]. The Shuowen jiezi says: "A tree branch; derived from 'wood' [木] with the phonetic gan [倝], pronounced [冈-山+(人*人)] + an [岸反]").
