踊躍（上庸腫反公羊傳曰踊上也玉篇踊登也杜預曰跳躍也從足甬聲也下翼灼反爾雅躍迅也廣雅躍跳也進也從足翟聲翟徒歷反）。

踊躍 (the first character is the fanqie 庸 + 腫 [yǒng]; the Gongyang zhuan says: "踊 means ascending." The Yupian: "踊 means climbing." Du Yu says: "Leaping and jumping; from 足 [foot] with 甬 providing the sound." The second character is the fanqie 翼 + 灼 [yuè]; the Erya: "躍 means swift." The Guangya: "躍 means jumping; advancing; from 足 [foot] with 翟 providing the sound." 翟 is the fanqie 徒 + 歷 [dí]).
