寤時（吾庫反考聲云寐中有所見覺而信也寐音彌庇反覺音教蒼頡篇亦云寐覺而有言曰寤說文同從宀從爿從㝱省吾聲也宀音綿爿音牆㝱音夢字書云㝱睡覺也）。

寤時 (the fanqie 吾 + 庫 [wù]; the Kaosheng says: "Seeing something in sleep, and upon waking, believing it." 寐 is the fanqie 彌 + 庇 [mèi]; 覺 is the fanqie 教 [jiào]. The Cang Jie pian also says: "To wake from sleep and speak is called 寤." The Shuowen is the same: it takes its components from 宀, 爿, and an abbreviated 㝱, with 吾 providing the sound. 宀 is the fanqie 綿 [mián]; 爿 is the fanqie 牆 [qiáng]; 㝱 is the fanqie 夢 [mèng]. Dictionaries say: "㝱 means awakening from sleep").
