峯巖（上捧封反考聲山高而銳也韻英山頂也或作峰從山夆聲也下吾咸反杜注左傳云巖險也毛詩傳曰巖巖積石也說文巖岸也或從石作[石*巖]古字）。

峯巖 [Peak and crag] (The first character is peng + feng fan. The Kaosheng says: 'A mountain that is high and pointed.' The Yunying says: 'A mountain crest.' It is also written as 峰, from 山 [mountain] with 夆 as phonetic. The second character is wu + xian fan. Du's commentary on the Zuo zhuan says: '巖 means perilous.' The Mao Commentary on the Shijing says: '巖巖 means piled rocks.' The Shuowen says: '巖 means a precipice.' It is also written with 石 [stone] as [石*巖], an ancient character).
