營搆 [Constructing and building] (Gu + gou fan. The Yupian says: 'To join; to complete.' The Kaosheng says: 'To erect a frame; to join timber; to roof over.' The Shuowen says: 'To pile up timber; resembling the shape of crossing timbers.' It is from 木 [wood] with 苒 as phonetic. Writing it simply as 苒 is also interchangeable).
