重覈（上重龍反下衡革反漢書云其審覈之務準古法也說文云考實事也謂覈遮其辭得實覈也從西從激省聲西音赫亞反從西俗字也）。

重覈 (the first character is *zh[òng]-lóng* fanqie; the second character is *h[èng]-gé* fanqie. The *Book of Han* says: “In examining and verifying it, one must conform to the ancient standards.” The *Shuowen jiezi* says: “To investigate actual facts; it means that verifying obstructs false words to obtain the actual verification. It is composed of ‘west’ (西) with an abbreviated *jī* (激) as phonetic.” 西 is *h[è]-yà* fanqie. Writing it with ‘west’ (西) is a vulgar character).
