嗜慾（上時至反鄭注禮記云嗜猶貪也孔注尚書云嗜即無猒足也說文云耆慾喜之也從口耆聲從目者非也）。

嗜慾 (The first character has the fanqie shi [時] + zhi [至]. Zheng Xuan's commentary on the Liji says: "Shì is like greed [tān]." Kong Yingda's commentary on the Shangshu says: "Shì means to have no satiety." The Shuowen says: "Qìyù means to take pleasure in it. It is formed with the mouth radical [口] and qí [耆] as the phonetic component; writing it with the eye radical [目] is incorrect.")
