穅粃（上音康聲類從禾作穅即穀皮也下卑弭反顧野王云粃字亦從比從禾作秕穀不成也說文穅秕二字並從禾今俗用或從米誤）。

Kangbi 穅粃 (the first character is pronounced kang; Shenglei writes it with the 'grain' radical as 穅, which is the husk of grain; the second character is bei + mi fan; Gu Yewang says the character 粃 is also written with 比 under 禾 as 秕, meaning grain that fails to ripen; the Shuowen jiezi records both kang and bi with the 'grain' radical; modern popular usage mistakenly writes them with the 'rice' radical).
