投簪（下戢今反儀禮以爵弁服簪裳鄭注云簪連也說文首笄也古作兂從人象形今錄文從竹作簪時用字也為與旡字相亂所以用此簪也）。

Touzan 投簪 (the second character is ji + jin fan; the Yili says: 'Wearing the juebian cap and robe, pinning (zan) the skirt'; Zheng's commentary says: 'Zan means to join'; the Shuowen jiezi says: 'A hairpin for the head'; anciently written 兂, depicting a human figure; now the catalogue text writes it with the 'bamboo' radical as 簪, which is the contemporary character; it was used to avoid confusion with the character 旡).
