麈尾（上音主下正體尾字也山海經云荊山多麈鹿郭注云似鹿而大尾闊如帚古之逸士執以為拂猶如鵰扇之類是也）。

Zhuwei 麈尾 (the first character is pronounced zhu; the second is the correct form of the character wei; the Shanhaijing says: 'Jingshan has many zhu deer'; Guo's commentary says: 'Resembles a deer but larger, its tail wide like a broom'; ancient recluses held it as a fly-whisk, comparable to the eagle-feather fan).
