孩嬰（上亥哀反顧野王云孩幼稚也下癭盈反釋名云人初生日嬰兒𦙄前曰嬰言接之嬰前乳養之也說文從女賏聲賏音同上傳作孾非也）。

Infants and babies (孩嬰: the upper character is hái + āi [hái]; Gu Yewang says: "孩 means an infant." The lower is yǐng + yíng [yīng]; Shiming says: "At the beginning of human life, an infant held before the breast is called 嬰; it means carrying it before the breast and nursing it." Shuowen: "Derived from 女 [woman] with 賏 as phonetic; 賏 has the same sound as above." In the transmission, written as 孾, which is incorrect).
